What we collect

When you join, we collect your email address, the general area you select, the time of your signup, and a record of your consent to launch updates. If you arrive through a campaign link, we also record its source label.

We do not ask for your exact location, date of birth, identity documents, photographs, dating preferences, or payment details. Joining does not create a public dating profile.

Why we use it

We use these details to manage early-access invitations, plan which areas to launch in, send the launch updates you requested, and handle your requests. Campaign labels help us understand how people find the waitlist. We rely on your consent for launch emails; you can withdraw it at any time.

Where details go

When signups are enabled, the website sends your details through our server to a Google Sheets waitlist using Google Apps Script. The list is for the Somewhere team and is not published. Our hosting and email providers may process technical information needed to run the website and deliver messages, including IP addresses and request logs.

Service providers may process information outside Kenya. Their processing is subject to their service terms and privacy practices. We do not sell your waitlist details or share them with other members.

Cookies and tracking

The current landing page does not install advertising trackers or use analytics cookies. We read the campaign source in the page URL when you submit the form. Normal technical processing by the hosting provider may still occur.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details while they are needed for early access and launch updates. If you ask to leave the list, we stop launch emails to you and remove your signup from the active list. We may retain a minimal opt-out record to avoid contacting you again, or information we are required to retain by law.

Your choices and requests

Email greenearth.wo@gmail.com to ask about your information, access or correct it, request deletion, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Use the email address you signed up with so we can locate your entry. We may ask for enough information to verify the request; please do not send identity documents unless specifically needed.

To stop launch emails, reply “unsubscribe” to an update or email us with the subject “Unsubscribe”. If you have a concern about how your personal information is handled, you can also contact Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner ↗.

Adults and future changes

This waitlist is for people aged 18 or older. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been submitted. This notice covers the landing page and waitlist; before the dating app launches, we will explain any additional data collection and update this notice. Material changes to how signup information is used will be communicated before that new use.
